Collectively these courses form a process by which Catholics can explore their faith in Jesus Christ within the relaxed environment of small groups meeting in their parish.  This process is known as CaFE - Catholic Faith Exploration.  All the courses can be led by lay people under the guidance of their priest. Each session comprises of a 30 to 45 minute video talk followed by a cup of tea and an informal chat about the issues raised. Most of the courses take place on one night in the week over 5 to 7 weeks but they can be adapted to suit the particular needs of a parish. The following courses are presently available to parishes in the diocese of Kilmore:

Knowing God Better
A series of 7 talks by David Payne the Director of Catholic Evangelisation Services. A relaxed and fun introduction to CaFE covering God’s Love, Grace and Forgiveness. It includes mime, testimonies, music and opportunities for prayerful reflection. The titles are:

• Knowing God Better
• Knowing God's Love
• Knowing God's Forgiveness
• Knowing God's Help
• Knowing God's Word
• Knowing God's Spirit
• Knowing God's Hope
  Each talk lasts around 30 minutes

This course was piloted in the Pastoral Centre during November and Early December 2004. The following are some of the comments of the participants:

Catholics Listening to God
A series of 7 talks delivered by Mgr. Mark Coleridge, Australian biblical scholar, presently working in the Vatican, designed to help Catholics discover how God speaks through Scripture, Tradition and the Teaching of the Church.  They also give practical tips on sharing the Bible in small groups.  The titles are:

• The Book of God
• Praying the Bible
• Sharing the Bible
• The Tradition of the Church
• The Teaching of the Church
• The Mission of the Church
  Each talk lasts around 45 minutes.
