All courses are the same in content and will take place on a Friday Night and Saturday (10am – 5pm) at the Kilmore Diocesan Pastoral Centre, Cavan.

Friday October 15th (7.30pm to 10pm) and Saturday October 16th (10am to 5pm).

Friday November 19th (7.30pm to 10pm) and Saturday November 20th (10am to 5pm)

Cavan ACCORD

ACCORD is a voluntary Catholic organisation that aims to promote a deeper understanding of Christian marriage and to offer people the means to safeguard and nourish their marriage and family relationships.

Within the Diocese of Kilmore the service is based within the Diocesan Pastoral Centre, Cavan.

Cavan ACCORD offers 2 main services

(i) Pre-Marriage Preparation courses.

The modules dealt with on the course are

· Family of Origin / Self- Awareness

· Communication

· Conflict Management

· Commitment

· Couple as Parents

· Church / Sacrament

· Owning your Sexuality

· Fertility Awareness and well-being

The emphasis at all times is on the needs of the couples.   The course is designed to allow them to explore their relationship, their understanding of the various elements that make up their unique partnership and to celebrate their particular commitment to each other at this time.

(ii) Marriage counselling. ACCORD offers a safe, professional and confidential  process  facilitating couples and individuals to explore, reflect upon and resolve difficulties in their marriage & relationship.
